The ingredients contained in kidney tonifying drugs can improve the symptoms of prostate hyperplasia
Currently, the treatment of this disease in Western medicine still mainly relies on surgery, with some pain, and there is no specific Western medicine available.
With the advent of an aging society, there are more and more cases of senile prostate hyperplasia. Currently, the treatment of this disease in Western medicine still relies mainly on surgery, with some pain, and there is no specific Western medicine available. In recent years, Japanese scholar Shihu Zexiao and others found that the traditional traditional Chinese patent medicines and simple preparations, Bawei Dihuang Pill, Liuwei Dihuang Pill and Jisheng Shenqi Pill, have good effects on the disease.
Japanese medical expert Shihu Zexiao et al. observed 46 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia, with an average age of 66 years. Generally, they were treated with traditional Chinese medicine alone, while individual patients were treated with traditional Chinese medicine in combination with Western medicine when the treatment effect was not good. The principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment is to use Bawei Dihuang Pill when the abdomen is tight and the legs are cold; If there is obvious difficulty in urination, foot numbness, and edema, choose Jisheng Shenqi Pill. The method of medication is to take it twice a day, initially with a small amount of medication, and increase the dosage if symptoms do not improve; When there is a decrease in efficacy or side effects during the treatment process, the dosage and method of administration can be changed or the prescription can be changed. After two weeks of taking the drug, the efficacy was determined, and the patient decided whether to continue taking the drug. The improvement of conscious symptoms was evaluated for those who continued taking the drug after 4 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months, respectively.
The results showed that among the 46 patients, 32 took Bawei Dihuang Pills, 9 took Jisheng Shenqi Pills, and 5 took Liuwei Dihuang Pills. During the treatment, 11 cases were effective, 23 cases were effective at the end of the treatment, and 12 cases were ineffective. From the perspective of the satisfaction of the attending physician, 18 cases were very satisfied (treated with traditional Chinese medicine alone and the symptoms completely disappeared), 16 cases were satisfied (partially improved with Western medicine), 3 cases were dissatisfied (no improvement in symptoms but no change to other methods), and 9 cases were extremely dissatisfied (changed to other treatment methods after no improvement in symptoms).
The above results indicate that Bawei Dihuang Pill, Jisheng Shenqi Pill, and Liuwei Dihuang Pill can improve the symptoms of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia.
