Another fake health product has been exposed! Too many people have been deceived, take a look
There is something called "Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid," which claims to be a millennium old recipe with various magical effects. Is it true that my parents insist that I buy it?
That's it
Don't worry, before we pick up our wallet, let's find out what this thing is and whether it has magical effects!
Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid, a new product combining Chinese and Western cultures?
Vinegar Egg Revitalizing Liquid is said to be a new product developed based on traditional Chinese medicine's regimen and modern science.
Originally, many products do not accept modern scientific analysis for folk folk remedies that have always liked to say "not the same system as modern science.". However, this Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid is unique in its propaganda, which uses modern scientific terminology and theories to claim to treat diseases in modern medicine.
Judging from his propaganda, there are many words and concepts of "being tall and upright", which can easily be believed and deceived by unknown consumers. However, after careful analysis, we can find that the promotion of this product "has too many vulnerabilities, just like a net bag.". Below, we will point out several main scams.
Vinegar egg rejuvenation liquid, which is vinegar soaked food
According to its propaganda, Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid is a combination of "Vinegar Egg Liquid" and "Revitalization".
Vinegar egg liquid is a product obtained by soaking an egg in vinegar, waiting for the egg shell to dissolve, opening the egg, and mixing the vinegar with the egg. During this process, acetic acid only dissolves the egg shell (mainly calcium carbonate) and does not produce any new substances.
"Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid" is added with "quail egg, jujube, wolfberry, longan, honey, and precious Chinese herbal ingredients.". In the product introduction, there is no mention of what "precious Chinese herbal medicine" is. According to national standards for food and drug management, it is illegal to add any herbal ingredients without labeling them - whether there are "precious Chinese herbal medicines" or not, and if any are truly useful, it is unclear.
The main ingredients listed by the manufacturer are "organic acids, amino acids, raw sugar, calcium, iron, zinc, protein, fat, active enzymes, glucose, fructose, invertase, amylase, phosphatase, etc.". In addition to enzymes, they are also conventional food ingredients that do not have value beyond meeting nutritional needs.
Magic effect, serious false propaganda
The manufacturer clearly states:
It (Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid) is not a medicine nor a health product. It is a health preserving drink that has been handed down by our ancestors for thousands of years.
In the food and drug regulatory system, what can be eaten is divided into three categories: food, drugs, and health products. Since the manufacturer has explicitly denied that it is drugs and health products, it can only be food - and if it is passed down for thousands of years, it will still be food.
And food, claiming any therapeutic effect is illegal. "Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid claims to have unexpected magical effects on chronic diseases that have been difficult to heal in hospitals for a long time. It can be described as a partial prescription for treating serious diseases, a combination of prescriptions for treating difficult diseases, and a vinegar egg for treating all diseases!" "It can regulate over 70 diseases of the human body.".
Even drugs dare not claim to have such an effect, which can "cure all diseases." It is a fool's dream to want a food to achieve such a magical effect.
Mechanism of action, pseudoscience confusing the public
On the official website of Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid, the so-called "mechanism of action" is listed:
Natural formula, the most balanced total nutrition! Acetic acid decomposes and small molecules are most easily absorbed! Process fermentation, rich and diverse enzyme substances!
It looks great, doesn't it? In fact, these three "mechanisms" are all scams!
1. Natural ratio, the most balanced total nutrition: plausible, confusing
Comprehensive nutrition refers to the fact that various nutrients are within the range required by the human body, while vinegar egg recovery solution is only 30 milliliters per day. Regardless of what is in it, it is basically a small part of the nutritional needs of the human body for a day. There is no point in discussing whether "total nutrition" is necessary. "Balanced total nutrition" can only be achieved through a reasonable and regular diet. Vinegar egg rejuvenation solution or other folk remedies cannot do anything about it.
Acetic acid decomposes, and small molecules are most easily absorbed: it is too difficult to become acetic acid
Acetic acid is a weak acid that, in addition to dissolving the egg shell in vinegar egg liquid, has basically no ability to decompose other food macromolecules into small molecules. During the vinegar brewing process, some ingredients in the food are leached into the vinegar brewing liquid. Eating the food in the formula directly without soaking will hardly reduce the digestion and absorption effect.
3. Technological fermentation, rich and diverse enzyme substances: microorganisms and enzymes cannot withstand
The core of fermentation is the growth of microorganisms, while the pH of acetic acid is around 3. At this acidity, most microorganisms are difficult to grow, and fermentation in vinegar is a bit strange.
To put it a step further, even if this manufacturer has found a magical process that enables microorganisms to ferment in vinegar and produce "enzymatic substances," it is still misleading.
Why? "Because even if there are enzymes in the vinegar egg recovery liquid, they will be digested and lose their enzyme activity when eaten into the stomach, and it is unlikely to have any effect.".
According to the manufacturer, "enzymes can activate and repair damaged cells, enabling them to reproduce healthily." Enzymes synthesized by the human body have this function, which has nothing to do with enzymes eaten through food.
"Detoxification"? It's food poisoning or side effects
The slogan for "Vinegar Egg Revitalization Liquid" includes a large amount of space describing the "four stages of physical conditioning" achieved by supplementing "enzymes.". As mentioned earlier, supplementing enzymes is completely deceiving. Enzymes cannot have physiological activity after digestion.
Therefore, this "physique conditioning" is a groundless assumption that manufacturers are simply trying to stun consumers by listing a bunch of scientific terms and pseudoscientific "theories.".
The most frightening thing is that the manufacturer claims to regard "acne on the face, obvious headache, stomach discomfort, lethargy, physical weakness, some constipation, diarrhea, and other phenomena" as "the phenomenon of detoxification in different parts" after taking it.
This is clearly a reaction to food poisoning, but the manufacturer has acted as a "different improvement reaction", urging consumers to persist until "it disappears in a few days!"!
As early as 2015, the Xi'an Municipal Administration Bureau had already imposed penalties on such products.
However, such an unscrupulous manufacturer, after receiving punishment, still does not repent and still touts itself as a "thousand year old prescription", using a large number of scientific terms and so-called "mechanism of action" to deceive consumers. It sells everywhere, searches online for information, and most of it is also a variety of deceptive promotional information.
Under the "bombardment" of such illegal advertisements, many consumers, especially middle-aged and elderly people, often cannot resist the temptation of "treating all diseases" and blindly pay their bills.
However, it is small to be cheated of money, and it is big to delay formal treatment.
